PURPOSE:To attain the gradation expression of a maximum value for a printer while utilizing the resolution of picture data from an external device by devising a device such that plural number of lines are revised by a prescribed instruction from the external device. CONSTITUTION:The picture processing system consists of a host computer 11 and a printer 15 interconnected by a cable, and the printer 15 consists of a printer controller 12, a picture processing section 13, and a laser driver section 14. The printer controller 12 receives picture data outputted from the host computer 11 being an external device and sends the number of entire lines of a page to the picture processing section at the start of the page by serial communication. After the end of communication, the data are converted into a prescribed bit map signal in response to a command and as to the data having gradation, the data are sent as a code signal representing density to the picture processing section 13 and a laser driver section 14 blinks its internal semiconductor laser in response to an output signal from the picture processing section 13. |
