PURPOSE:To eliminate scanning on the line or row according to printing unnecessary information, and increase a scanning speed by reading out a Y direction position, on which main scanning is carried out next, from the memory content according to a detected result of the Y direction position on which main scanning is carried out, and starting main scanning on the position being read out as soon as the present main scanning is finished. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 9 is driven/controlled and a reflecting surface 3a is rotated in the arrow B direction, a laser beam carries out main scanning on a liquid crystal display surface 6a of a liquid crystal mask 6 in the arrow X direction. When the motor 8 is driven/controlled and a reflecting surface 2a is rotated in the arrow A direction, the laser beam carries out sub scanning on the liquid crystal display surface 6a in the arrow Y direction. Here, among the whole Y direction positions on the image screen 6a, partial Y direction positions, on which main scanning is to be carried out, are stored beforehand in a prescribed memory of a controller 7. A Y direction position, on which the main scanning is carried out at present, is detected by a sensor 10 being a position detecting means. According to this detected result, the Y direction position, on which the main scanning is to be carried out next, is read out from the stored memory content, and main scanning is started in the Y direction position being read out as soon as the present main scanning is finished. |
