The "X" lifter has crossed arms (5,5) positioned by a mastic loaded pistol (10), mounted on arm brackets (6,7). The lifter may be fixed to a plate (9), mounted parallel to the ground and over high kitchen wall fixings. The cross arms (5) may be of aluminium, carrying cross pieces (4) and four plates (1). The arm ends may carry rollers (2) and clamps (3) and pivot on the plate (9). The arm brackets (6,7) also pivot. After positioning, pistol (10) brake operation lowers the device.
