A flow control valve, in particular for hydraulic pressure media, has an effective cross-section for the pressure media that is variable as a function of temperature. In order to achieve a considerable variation of cross-section with a compact design, the flow control regulator is equipped with a memory element made of a metal alloy having a reproducible memory effect, by means of which the effective cross-section can be changed by a change of shape of the memory element caused by a change in its crystalline structure within a narrow temperature range. Such a flow control valve is used in a particularly advantageous manner in a regulating or controlling circuit of a hydraulic pump, for pilot controlled distributing valves, pressure valves, proportional control valves and flow control valves, for regulation and injection in compression and spark ignition. |
