The device consists of a peg (1) with one conical end (2) having spaced markings (3) on it, this being the end inserted through the cervix. The markings are pref. engraved rings with numbers beside them corresponding to the correct diameter. The long axis of the peg is slightly curved or bent at an angle of pref. 1.5 deg. in the inserted area and the rest is straight. There may be more than one of these pegs with different diameters on them. USE/ADVANTAGE - For gynaecological use. Construction, handling and operation is simplified and the patient goes through less discomfort due to less pegs being used.
