Cellulose acetate film is pretreated before the application of a photosensitive photographic emulsion layer by (a) applying to the film a solution of a copolymer of (meth) acrylate ester, and a compound contg. a vinyl group, in a mixture of solvents selected from methanol, acetone and methylene chloride, at 25-40 degrees C, and (b) drying the coated film at 60-120 degrees C. The coated cellulose acetate film can be coated with photosensitive emulsion layers to give photographic films characterised by an excellent adhesion of the emulsion layer to the supporting film. This excellent adhesion is obtained in both the dry state, and in the hurried state under varying climatic conditions.
|
