Appts. has a sec. mixer between the mixing chamber itself and the mould cavity, and it has its own dividing and combining lines. This sec. mixer has a cylindrical interior, at least one length of which has at least one integral ridge set at an angle to the centre line of the cylinder. The sec. mixer is made of two parts hinged together along a thin strip so that they can be held together by a longitudinal snap closure. Both parts are identical. When joined together their combined internal dia. is cylindrical. This internal dia. has (pref.) three lengths, each with two internal ridges (21), those of the two halves being at 90 deg. to each other i.e. crossing at 90 deg. The ridges are pref. straight and are thus orientated at about 45 deg. to the longitudinal axis. One external side of the sec. mixer is a straight face for ease of insertion into a runner and to hold its position. ADVANTAGE - The sec. mixer produces uniform blending of the reagents but with minimum pressure increase. It is inexpensive.
