Assembly to turn cube packages as they travel between a feed and delivery point for packing, such as soup paste or butter or margarine, has trough-shaped guide channels (26, 27) at the entry end (13) and at the turning zone (14) of the guide plate (21), with groove channels at the collection zone (15) as far as the take-off. A guide plate (32) is in each guide cahnnel (27) at the turning zone (14) to shift each package from its wide side to a narrow side. The guide plate (32) is pref. tongue-shaped, with a 90 deg. twist symmetrically along its length. The guide plate (32) is easily exchanged, with its entry side flush with the guide channel (27) and, if required, screwed from below to a guide plate (21). Its outlet end is generally vertical and secured to a bridge holder (33) over the channel (27). The guide plate (320 has a low friction surface, pref. as a rippled plate. USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly is to carry cube packages from a delivery station to a packaging station, and turn them for packing. The assembly is simple, and takes the packages as they are produced, and alters their alignment without damage for packing into cartons.
