An air filter consists of a relatively thin fan-folded strip of materials. Between the layers on both sides are convex and concave stiffening corrugations acting as spacers. Undistorted areas of material remain between the convex and concave corrugations. A number of convex and concave corrugations are alternately aligned within a single row approximately parallel to the two folded edges of width B of one section, and that a convex corrugation and a concave corrugation are spaced by undistorted areas. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement provides for the fabrication of an air filter and minimises the risk of tears in the filter fabric.
