<p>PURPOSE:To reduce muck drop noise by providing a bent pipe section between a vertical pipe connecting port and a horizontal pipe connecting port, and making the mass of the joint body of a pipe joint, the nominal diameters of both ports of which are in a specified range, 20kg or more. CONSTITUTION:A pipe joint 1 comprises a fitting body 2 and a weighting layer 3, and the fitting body 2 is provided with a bent pipe section 23 between a vertical pipe connecting port 21 and a horizontal pipe connecting port 22. The nominal diameter of the pipe connecting ports is determined 80 to 150A, and the mass is 20kg or more. The mass of the pipe joint 1 can be increased by taking a conventional pipe joint as a pipe joint main body and coating the periphery of the joint main body with a weighting substance made of metallic material such as lead or inorganic material such as concrete or by making the wall thickness thick by the same material. A material for a pipe joint includes cast iron, concrete, chloroethylene and the like, and composite material of metal with inorganic material. The muck which flows down together with sewage water through a vertical pipe collides against the inner face of the bent pipe section, but since the mass of the pipe joint 1 is sufficiently larger than the muck, drop energy is absorbed by the pipe joint 1, preventing the joint 1 from large vibration.</p> |
