PRODUCTION OF STRETCHABLE FABRICS

PURPOSE:To provide a production process for stretchable fabrics having silk-like dry touch and gloss and further softly swelling. CONSTITUTION:Polyetherester elastic filaments and polyester mixed filaments different in shrinkage are used to form conjugated yarns, then the yarns are woven or knitted and the fabrics are heat-treated to develop the difference in filament length. The elastic filament comprises the polyester hard segments and the straight-chain polyalkylene glycol soft segments. The polyester mixed filaments different in shrinkage are composed of more than 2 groups of filaments having more than 3% different boiling-water shrinkages.
