MICROORGANISM DEODORIZING METHOD FOR MALODOROUS GAS USING HOT WATER EXTRACTION-HEATED COCONUT HUSK CARRIER

PURPOSE:To efficiently treat malodorous gas at low cost by depositing active sludge or microorganisms on hot water-treated coconut husks and passing the molodorous gas through the husks. CONSTITUTION:Coconut husks which are available from a coconut processing plant and have been given special pretreatment is treated by hot water of about 100-120 deg.C for about 1-3hr and the husks as a carrier are given microorganism treatment by active sludge gathered from a night soil treatment plant, etc., to fix Thiobacillus thiopuls, etc., of a the genus thiobacillus. Malodorous gas 2 is guided from an inlet 3 and passed through a hot water extraction-treated coconut husk carrier 6 with which a space 7 of a deodorizing column is packed. Then, the malodorous gas is deodorized to turn into odorless gas 4 which goes out.
