<p>PURPOSE:To provide a biological treatment material effective for water purifying treatment or environmental purification, to convert discharged sludge to compost and to obtain an excellent soil conditioner by adsorbing a strain selected from a specific group on a sewage purifying powder material or a granular filter material obtained by treating a coal powder with an acid to propagate the same. CONSTITUTION:A strain selected from a group consisting of a strain decomposing undecomposed protein or starch in excretion, a strain rich in cellulase decomposing a plant fibrous substance, a strain fixing nitrogen in air or water to prepare fertilizer, a thermal bacterial strain generating high temp. of 70-80 deg.C to kill pathogenic bacteria and marine halophilic yeast is adsorbed on a sewage purifying powder or a granular filter material obtained by treating a coal powder with an acid and propagated to obtain a biological treatment material. This acid treated coal powder has adsorbing capacity and ion exchange capacity to enable discoloration purification and is suitable for the culture and propagation of bacterial because it contains fixing carbon as a carbon nutrition source of bacteria and a mineral component becoming a growth promoting factor.</p> |
