摘要 |
<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst having high combustion activity and excellent heat resistance by mixing aluminum alkoxide with silicon alkoxide in a specified ratio, bringing this mixture into a reaction by heating in an arom. hydrocarbon solvent and supporting a metal of the platinum group on the resulting mullite. CONSTITUTION:Aluminum alkoxide is mixed with silicon alkoxide in 2 to <7 atomic ratio of Al to Si and this mixture is brought into a reaction at 200-350 deg.C in an arom. hydrocarbon solvent. The resulting product is fired at >=900 deg.C to produce mullite and one or more kinds of metal of the platinum group are supported on the mullite. Since the mullite as a catalyst carrier maintains its large surface area even after firing at >=900 deg.C, especially at 1200 deg.C, the objective catalyst obtd. by supporting the metals of the platinum group on the mullite has high combustion activity and excellent heat resistance.</p> |
