PURPOSE:To solve such a problem that the fitting part with a cap is not accurately formed to the shoulder part of a biaxially stretched polyester bottle. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially stretched polyester bottle consists of a mouth part 2, a shoulder part 3, a body part 4 and a bottom part 5 and is characterized by that the shoulder part 3 has a polygonal cross section wherein a surface having the fitting part with a cap and a surface having no fitting part with the cap are alternately continued and the distance from the center of the bottle to the surface having the fitting part is shorter than the distance from the center of the bottle to the surface having no fitting part. The biaxially stretched polyester bottle is produced by performing longitudinal stretching using a mold and subsequently performing blow molding using high pressure air and high temp. blow air is used in blow molding.
