The trap, for processionary caterpillars, consists of three elements, a special collar (1), a tube (2) and a receptacle (3). The collar is placed around the tree. It consists of an external wall (4), which acts as a parapet railing to contain the caterpillars. The wall is thin in cross section and is sufficiently high to contain the caterpillars. It is carried by a flexible joint (5), which ensures the sealing of the wall to the tree. The upper end of the pipe is inserted into through the joint and allows the caterpillars to progress through into the container (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - It is simple to fit and uses no chemical compounds.
