PURPOSE:To provide the parallel processing type contents retrieval device which shortens the retrieval time by eliminating a need of unnecessary communication for coupling of processings of divided parts. CONSTITUTION:This parallel processing type contents retrieval device consists of multiple processors, where plural processor elements 101 to 104 having storage devices 111 to 114 are connected through a mutual coupling network, and is provided with a means, which divides text information to store it in storage devices 111 to 114 of processor elements 101 to 104, and a means which compares stored text contents to retrieve required information, and this device is provided with a means which stores text information so that the trailing part stored in the preceding processor element overlaps the leading part stored in the succeeding processor element by a certain length. |
