PURPOSE:To provide a castable refractory excellent in the service life which is used for a foundry ladle, vacuum degassing treatment, etc. CONSTITUTION:The castable refractory consists essentially of 0.5-5.0wt.% fine calcined magnesia powder 0.1-5.0wt.% glass material and the balance alumina. Also it consists essentially of 0.5-5.0wt.% fine calcined magnesia powder, 0.1-5.0wt.% glass material, <=60wt.% magnesia and/or spinel and the balance alumina. The castable refractory is excellent in slag permeability resistance, corrosion resistance and spalling resistance. |
