The flowmeter has a foil-shaped, electrically heated temp.-dependent resistance (1) placed in a fluid flow in a measurement channel (3) and connected in series with a similar resistance (2) on a common substrate (4) but not placed in the flow. The substrate has a thin metal film on the reverse and a cap (5) with at least one recess (6) for the resistors. The substrate is joined to a block contg. the flat measurement channel and a compensation chamber (9) via at least two releasable connectors. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple thermal flowmeter for fluid in measurement channel is cheap to make, enables position-independent measurement with low pressure loss, is insensitive to mechanical stress and is easy to dismantle and clean.
