发明名称 MECHANICAL IGNITION TYPE GAS GENERATOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the using amount of charge by a method wherein the leakage of high-pressure gas is prevented by using a hard ball. CONSTITUTION:When a stub primer 3 is ignited and flame is generated, the flame is dispersed forward along the outer periphery of a hard ball 2 arranged at a middle point while the flame, detoured the hard ball 2, causes the reaction of a gas generating agent 1, arranged before the hard ball. The gas generating agent 1 is burnt with a high speed and generates gas shockingly. The gas passes through a hard ball supporting device 4 and moves the hard ball 2 rearward. Accordingly, the hard ball 2 bites into the opening 5 and the like of the stub primer 3, which is provided with an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the stub primer 3, whereby self sealing is effected. During this period, the gas generating agent 1 continues the combustion thereof and generates a high pressure, however, the leakage of this pressure is prevented already and, therefore, substantially whole amount of gas is utilized effectively in a gas pressure transmitting chamber C. According to this method, the amount of charge used for the gas generating device can be reduced.
