<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a sense of finger touch similar to the depression of a key on a keyboard, to reduce operator's sense of incongruity, to expand the operation functions of a touch panel, and to improve a sense of operation by deforming an elastic member provided on the rear face of the touch panel at the time of depressing the panel. CONSTITUTION:This information input device consists of touch panel 4, a liquid crystal display device 5 and a lower base 8 and an elastic member 6 is provided between the base 8 and the display device 5. Since the member 6 is held between these plane materials 8, 5, the member 6 is contracted at the time of depressing the panel 4 with a finger and a sense of depression similar to depression of a keyboard can be obtained. Positional information based upon the depression of the panel 4 is sent to a control part through a contact pin 7 or the like. Resin or an elastic metallic sheet is mainly used as a material of the member 6 and the touch of depression can be adjusted by changing its material and shape thereby changing impact resilience force.</p> |
