PURPOSE:To adjust the irradiation position of outgoing beams to both light- receiving parts easily and accurately. CONSTITUTION:A light receiving position adjusting device 1A has a polarization beam splitter 3 comprising a right-angled isosceles triangular prism 4 and an almost parallelogrammatic prism 5 both joined via the plane of polarized separation 4a, and light-emitting elements 11, 12 fixed stand 10. The plane of polarized separated 4a and entrance plane 5a make an angle of 45 deg. and a total reflection surface 5b and the plane of polarized separation 4a are not parallel to each other. Accordingly, the optical axis of incoming beam B0 striking at right angles the entrance plane 5a is the same as that of outgoing beam B1, but the optical axis of outgoing beams B2 is inclined at an angle of theta to a segment L parallel to the optical axis of the outgoing beam B1. For example, when the polarization beam splitter 3 is moved in the direction of the arrow M, the irradiation position of the outgoing beam B1 on the light-receiving element 11 does not change but the outgoing beam B2 on the light-receiving element 12 move up and down in the drawing. |
