PURPOSE:To execute the communication of picture data between devices different in picture element configuration, and simultaneously, to prevent the deterioration of picture quality accompanying the conversion processing of the picture element configuration by using an outline extracting method. CONSTITUTION:A computer 3 is connected to data communication equipment 1, and generates the picture data like a computer graphic, etc. A display 4 is provided with a CRT, and displays graphic data generated by the computer 3. The data communication equipment 1 executes outline extraction processing for the graphic data transferred from the computer 3. Then, extracted outline data and the picture element configuration information of transferred raster type binary picture data are transmitted to facsimile equipment 2 through a line 6. The facsimile equipment 2 reproduces the binary picture data from the received outline data and the picture element configuration information so as to be adaptive to the picture element configuration of the facsimile equipment 2, and outputs it to a recording paper, etc. |
