PURPOSE:To provide the method for transmission via repeater stations which can connect a lot of repeater stations. CONSTITUTION:This transmission method is provided for transmitting data via plural repeater stations 1', 2' and 3' connected by optical fiber cables 10, 11, 12 and 13, and modulated signals modulating data by an NRZ 1 transmission system are transmitted while inverting the polarity of signals by inverters 14, 15 and 16 at the respective repeater stations 1', 2' and 3'. Since the polarity of signals is inverted by the inverters 14, 15 and 16 even when rise and fall charactersitics are different for OE converters 4, 5 and 6 at the repeater stations 1', 2' and 3', the time is canceled, and the signals reduced the distortion can be transmitted through a lot of repeater stations. On the other hand, since the NRZ 1 transmission system is used, the data can be transmitted without making the meaning of the transmitted data different even when the signals are inverted. Further, elements for inverting signals can be constituted at low cost, and a network can be constituted at low cost without using any complicated circuits. |
