<p>PURPOSE:To provide a precision color filter by using a photoconductive layer having a lasting electroconductivity; and establish a method for manufacturing such a color filter with good effectiveness. CONSTITUTION:A transparent electroconductive base board 12 is coated with a transparent photosensitive memory substance to form a transparent photosensitive memory layer 13. When this memory layer 13 is exposed to light through a mask 3R having apertures for red patterns, an electroconductiveness is generated in the exposed portion 13R. In an electrodeposition bath, a red electrodepositing material is electrodeposited only on the exposed portion 13R selectively. This is followed by rinsing and drying, and red patterns 14R are formed constituting a colored pattern layer 14. In the same manner, green patterns 14G and blue patterns 14B are formed. Finally the memory layer 13 is exposed to light through a mask having apertures for black matrix, and a black electrodepositing material is electrodeposited on the exposed portion (where the electroconductiveness is generated), and thereby black matrix 14Bl is formed.</p> |
