PURPOSE:To provide a toner having enough melting property and fixing property which enables formation of picture images without causing voids in images or white dots by using a linear polyester having specified characteristics as the toner resin. CONSTITUTION:Linear polyester consists of at least etherified diphenols and monomers of aromatic carboxylic acid. The linear polyester is prepared by selecting monomer components and mixing and polymerizing these monomers to obtain <3% gel fraction, <=5KOHmg/100g acid value, >=60 deg.C glass transition point, and 0.5X10<5> poise apparent viscosity. Polymn. is performed by an usual method such as high temp. polycondensation, solution polycondensation, or interface polycondensation. The obtd. polyester resin is used as the binder resin. Carbon black having 18-30nm particle diameter is used as the coloring agent and other desired additives may be used. |
