PCM/FM OUTPUT SELECTING DEVICE AND METHOD OF NI CAM

A drive circuit drives the appts. according to broadcast mode signals produced from a NICAM decoder. A broadcast mode display unit indicates the mode, e.g. stereo. An output selector switches the receiver to PCM or FM mode. A microcomputer responds to a logic signal from an OR gate connected to the drive unit, or to signals from a key matrix and generates control signals to provide respective automatic or manual control of the selector. A PCM/FM mode display unit responds to the control signals to display the current receiving mode.
