The equipment is used for drying hoses used by fire brigades. The outside surfaces are dried using a pneumatic suction device and this is followed by a heating channel which evaporated off the rest of the water The hose then passes to winding reels. The suction device incorporates two rollers (7) over which the hose turns through approx. 90 deg. The flexible hose is folded flat as it passes over the rollers and each side in turn is dried. Nozzles (6) extend close to the hose where it passes over each roller and air is sucked through them to draw off most of the water. USE/ADVANTAGE - Hoses used by fire brigades are effectively dried using simple equipment.
