The protruding cutters (40) are guided with the cord round the work axis. The cord is pref. in the form of a chain with longitudinally adjacent, rotary cutter wheels with peripheral cutting edges (42). The cutter wheels may form a ring of variable ID. The chain is typically of bicycle type of lugs (37), through which pass transverse bolts (36), with several adjacent transverse bolts forming the cutter wheel axes. One end of the chain is secured to the machine, while its free end is inserted into a tubular gripper. USE/ADVANTAGE - For very hard tubes etc., with simple handling and precise separating cuts.
