PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin molding material with a good state of impregnation by opening fiber bundles to be preheated and impregnating soluble thermoplastic resin to them while keeping the fiber opened state. CONSTITUTION:Reinforced fiber 4 of glass fiber or like materials is introduced to a fiber opening nozzle 8 and opened through compressed gas, preferably, inactive gas 9' heated by a heater 9 close to a melt-temperature of resin to be impregnated. This is then introduced to a impregnating die 5 through a temperature forcible controller 7. The fiber 4 being fiber-opened and heat-treated is impregnated with molten resin supplied uniformly from up and down sides or right and left sides through high pressure. Next, it is taken in by a withdrawing roller 6 via a molding nozzle. Besides, it is preferable that polyolefin is employed therefor. |
