PURPOSE:To enhance the convenience of a refrigerator having a plurality of vertically arranged storage chambers, enabling easily taking out food without the need of stooping even from a storage chamber, such as one for vegetables placed in the lower part of the refrigerator. CONSTITUTION:In a refrigerator having a plurality of vertically arranged storage chambers a movable supporting member 13 is provided to the front panel 5 of a vegetable chamber 1 placed in the lower part of the main body 3 of the refrigerator and a supporting member-driving motor, as a means for moving the movable supporting member 13 upward and downward. A vessel 9 for the vegetable chamber is mounted on the movable supporting member 13. At the moment that the front panel 5 for the vegetable chamber has been drawn out, bringing the vessel 9 for the vegetable chamber on the outer side of the front ends of the doors of storage chambers placed above the vegetable chamber, the supporting member-driving motor is started operating, thus automatically lifting the vessel 9 for the vegetable chamber. |
