<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high purification rate of exhaust gas in concurrence with start of specified operation of an engine by previously preheating a catalyst that is used under the specified condition of the engine. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas purifying device of an einge is provided with a first catalyst 23 used under the specified condition of the engine 10, and a bypass passage 25 that bypasses the first catalyst 23. Further it is provided with an exhaust gas switching/controlling means 27 that switches exhaust gas and supplies it to the first catalyst 23 when the temperature of the first catalyst 23 is not more than the temperature of activation and previously activates the first catalyst 23 even when the engine is under the conditions other than the specified condition.</p> |
