PURPOSE:To increase a working rate by deciding a copying mode capable of being used through the use of other usable heater lamps, and making a copy through the use of the copying mode, even when the copying mode which can not be used because of the heater lamp impossible to use due to a fault, etc., occurs. CONSTITUTION:The heater lamps 1 fixing a toner image on a recording paper are provided in accordance with different copying modes, respectively. Respective photodetecting sensors 2 detecting the operation states of respective heater lamps 1, are provided. A CPU 4 deciding whether fixing in each copying mode is possible or not, based on signals from respective photodetecting sensors 2, and controlling respective heater lamps 1, is provided, as well. |
