<p>PURPOSE:To easily select items of a menu with a mouse by changing areas of items in accordance with the evaluation result of the menu at the time of displaying the menu of a window application. CONSTITUTION:Item classification columns, evaluation value columns indicating the evaluation results, and area columns indicating areas of items of the menu corresponding to evaluation values are constituted for items of the menu and are stored on a long-period storage device like a magnetic disk device. In this case, the item having a larger evaluation value has a larger area. When frequencies in selection of items are taken as the reference of evaluation, the item having a higher frequency in selection has a larger evaluation value. Evaluation columns are filled up by a menu evaluating means 1, and area columns are filled up by an area determining means 2 based on these evaluation values. A menu display means 3 determines the height of the menu in accordance with area columns and determines and displays external forms of items in accordance with areas conforming to the form of the menu.</p> |
