PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device capable of securing the safety of an operator at the time of jam processing without impairing operability. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper detecting sensor 18 is provided between a fixing device 15 and an ejecting roller 16. A transfer drum 6 and the fixing device 15 are mounted on a frame 19. When the drum 6 is at a transfer position, a switch 20 arranged above the drum 6 keeps the state of connecting action by abutting on the supporting frame 6b of the drum 6. When the drum 6 is not at the transfer position, the switch 20 keeps the state of shutting-off action. When the switch 20 is in the state of the connecting action, control for power supply to a heater 15a is continued. When the jamming of recording paper 7 is detected by the sensor 18, the power supply to the heater 15a is stopped. |
