PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and color separation in the case of a color photographic material by providing at least one infrared sensitive layer spectrally sensitized with a combination of 2 kinds of J-band type sensitizing dyes. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material is provided with at least one infrared sensitive layer having maximum spectral sensitivity in the wavelength region of >=700nm by a combination of at least 2 kinds of J-band type sensitizing dyes represented by formula I in which each of Z1 and Z2 an S or Se atom; each of Q1 and Q2 is a methine group: each of R1 and R2 is alkyl: each of R3 and R4 is H, alkyl, aryl, or a heterocyclic group: each of L1-L3 is a methine group; each of A1 and A2 is an atomic group necessary to form a benzene ring; M1 is an electric charge balancing counter ion; and m1 is a number for balancing the intramolecular charge.
