PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material having a wide latitude for development which hardly causes fog even for long-period or high-temp. thermal development by further incorporating a polymerizable compd. into the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material has a hardening layer 62 photosensitive layer 63 and promoting layer 64 for formation of picture images successively formed on a supporting body 61. The hardening layer 62 contains crosslinking polymers 65. The photosensitive layer 63 contains silver halide 67, reducing agent 66 and polymerizable compds. 68. The promoting layer 64 for formation of picture images contains a basic precursor. In this aspect, the polymerizable compd. is included only in the photosensitive layer 63. It is preferable that the hardening layer 62 does not contain the polymerizable compd. 68. By incorporating the polymerizable compd. into layers except for the hardening layer, fog due to thermal development can be largely suppressed. On the other hand, the time for thermal development required for image forming does not charge. Thereby, the allowance of process conditions for thermal development, namely, the development latitude can be increased. |
