<p>The powder is placed on one sheet, the other sheet placed on top and assembly heated under pressure. The polyamide used is a copolymer of either 11-amino undecanoic acid (I) or lactam 12 (II) with another monomer generating polyamides e.g. caprolactam (III). The welded products of this invention are used in the manufacture of clothes and have the advantage of being much less sensitive to the chlorinated solvents used in the dry-cleaning industry.</p> |
