1293742 Froth flotation DOW CHEMICAL CO 6 Jan 1970 [3 Feb 1969] 689/70 Heading B2H [Also in Division C2] Sulphide ores are concentrated by subjecting the ore in the. form of a pulp to a flotation collector comprising a monothiocarbamic acid ester having the formula: wherein R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl group optionally interrupted by a hetero atom and optionally substituted by one or two functional groups; R 1 is an alkylene group optionally interrupted by a hetero atom, and R 2 is a hydrocarbyl group other than an aryl group, optionally interrupted by a hetero atom and optionally substituted except in the α-position by one or two functional groups. A frothing agent may be added to the pulp. Examples relate to the separation of molybdenum and copper sulphide ores. |
