The sample sheet extraction device has a sheet separator cooperating with the delivered sheet stack employing a sheet holder (5) and a pneumatic operating piston (6). The sheet holder has a curved guide (5.1) for longitudinal and rotary movement of the sheet holder relative to the sheet stack upon operation of the piston. Pref. a number of sheet separators lie along the front edge of the sheet stack, with a light barrier detecting the end of the sheet extraction cycle to reset the device.
