In order to reduce both the overall length and the manufacturing costs of a pilot operated, two stage valve for running gear regulating systems, the pilot body (14) is ring-shaped so that the medium flows off in the radial direction, and the valve body (22) is designed as a spring mounted plate (28). This improves both the dynamic behaviour of the valve and its operation in subdomains (minimal opening pressure for the main stage).
