<p>The present invention relates to a wood chopper, comprising a feed hopper (11) for feeding in wood (18) to be minuted, a frame part (12), a discharge aperture (15) for pieces of wood, and a cutting blade means (13) rotatably fitted inside the frame part (12), said frame part being provided with a cylindrical screw surface (14), the outer edge whereof constituting a cutting blade, said blade chopping pieces from the wood to be minuted against a countersurface in the frame (12) or in the feed hopper (11). The angle of inclination (η) of the front wall of the feed hopper (11) relative to the centreline of the cutting blade means (13) is over 30° but below 60°. The clearance angle of the screw surface (14) of the cutting blade means (13) is at least 5 degrees and at most, 15 degrees.</p> |
