PURPOSE:To reduce a running cost by a method wherein natural circulation utilizing gravity is carried out within a secondary piping system through the phase change of a refrigerant. CONSTITUTION:The coil parts of a plurality of fan coil units (FCU) 23 function as respective vaporizers and refrigerant liquid is vaporized following an indoor cooling load to produce refrigerant steam. The refrigerant steam is moved through a refrigerant steam pipe 40 to a terminal heat-exchanger 20 and condensed by means of cold water from a cold water feed pipe 30. Refrigerant liquid being liquefied through condensation of the refrigerant steam flows down to a reserve tank 21 and is returned to the FCU 23 again under gravity after the passage of it through a refrigerant liquid pipe 41. In this case, the reserve tank 21 is utilized for regulation of the level of the refrigerant liquid in each FCU 23. In this way, natural circulation through the phase change of a refrigerant is carried out and cooling operation not required for a conveyance power is realized. Further, a low cost midnight power can be utilized through combination with an ice heat accumulating unit 10. This constitution enables reduction of a running cost. |
