<p>PURPOSE:To easily set shot peening conditions for a member made of metal in a short time. CONSTITUTION:Shot peening treatment is applied to a member made of metal by setting the desired residual compressive stress corresponding to the tensile strength of the member made of metal. Then the residual compressive stress is measured and the maximum value and the desired residual compressive stress are compared. Shot peening treatment conditions are modified so that the maximum value agrees with the desired residual compressive stress, and also the shot peening treatment conditions where the maximum value of the residual compressive stress practically agrees with the desired residual compressive stress are set member made of metal.</p> |
