PURPOSE:To obtain a new oligonucleotide pair useful as a primer for detecting Aujeszki disease virus(ADV) in a specimen. CONSTITUTION:The objective method for detecting ADV is to amplify a genetic region specific for the ADV with at least one of oligonucleotide pairs of formulas I to VII as a primer according to a polymerase chain reactional(PCR) method and thereby enable the detection of the amplified genetic region by hybridization. Attention is paid to thymidine kinase gene and an initial expression protein gene and a primer DNA pair for the PCR is synthesized by a DNA synthesizer (model 391, manufactured by Applied Biosystems, Inc.) and purified by an 18C reversed phase column. |
