PURPOSE:To enable an excellent transfer property and high resolution recording to be obtained by a small amount of energy by a method wherein an ink layer of a thermal transfer medium and a surface to be transferred of a medium to be recorded are made into a non-contact state, and they are irradiated with laser beams. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer medium 1 is formed by laminating an ink layer 3 containing a photoabsorption heating material on a base material 2. Besides, a medium to be recorded 4 is formed by laminating an image receiving layer 5 on a base material 6. At that time an appropriate amount of fine particles as a mat material is added to the ink layer 3 of the thermal transfer medium 1 and/or the image receiving layer 5 of the medium to be recorded 4 to roughen the surface of the layer. After opposing a surface of the ink layer 3 of the thermal transfer medium 1 to the image receiving layer 5 of the medium to be recorded 4 to be arranged, a surface of the base material 2 is irradiated with laser beams. Thereby, a high quality recording image can be formed on the image receiving layer 5 by making a transfer property good by a small amount of energy. Further, the ink layer 3 can be also laminated on the base material 2 via a photo-absorption heating layer. |
