The bed-settee has a seat (4) with a removable back. A drawer below the seat opens at the front of the settee and contains the bed. The seat has a mattress which is identical to the bed's mattress (15) and they both have slatted bases (3,14). The bed is raised to the height of the seat and is wedged between the drawer front (13) and the seat. It is raised by two parallel rods (19,20) which are articulated on the base of the drawer round transversal axles. The upper ends of the rods slide in rails (16) across the bed's frame.
