PURPOSE:To provide an LED dot matrix display device in which all LED emis sion brightness are easily and exactly made uniform so that even television receiver pictures can be displayed. CONSTITUTION:A correction data memory 2 is provided in which beforehand computed brightness correction data are stored corresponding to dot positions so that the respective LEDs are made to have a constant brightness based on each LED measured brightness of all dots on a dot matrix LED display unit 1. A data changing means 3 transforms input picture data to corrected picture data based on the brightness correction data and the corrected picture data are temporarily stored in video memories 4a and 4b. Display driving means 8 to 10 perform emission control of each LED based on the stored data of the memories 4a and 4b. Therefore, all LEDs have a same brightness by controlling emission time, for example, in accordance with the brightness of each LED and thus, a picture of a television receiver is displayed with full color having a gradation expression.
