A liquid solution (1) is purified by removal of solids in suspension and an oil phase. The solids are removed by a filter (2) and collected as mud (7). The liquid remaining is centrifuged (3) to separate the oil pollutants (8) from the aqueous phase. USE - Purification of acid, alkaline or neutral solution which have been used for degreasing, or chemical or physico-chemical treatment of metallic or plastic surfaces.
