PURPOSE:A shampoo composition, containing an anionic surfactant, ampholytic surfactant and cationic cellulose, capable of finishing the hair to a state of improved feeling even by washing the hair every day with hardly any irritancy to the skin or ocular mucous membranes. CONSTITUTION:A shampoo composition containing 2-40wt% anionic surfactant expressed by formula I (R1 is alkyl; R2 is H or CH3; AO is oxyalkylene; n is 0-20; M1 and M2 are H, alkali metal, ammonium ion, etc.), 2-40wt% ampholytic surfactant expressed by formula II (R3 is alkyl; R4 and R5 are CH3 or C2H5; m is 2 or 3) and 0.1-5wt% cationic cellulose. The composition has improved conventional disadvantages, e.g. unsmooth feeling in repeated hair washing, loss of smoothness, moist feeling, gloss after drying, etc. |
